It's *not* wee yarn goblins!

It's the Fool.
There's been some discussion in comments of late about whether, in fact, knitters' houses are populated with small, mischevious goblins who flip balls of partly wound yarn off the ballwinder and tangle skeins.
That may be true. I'm not doubting that.
I'd also thought maybe they were responsible for some of the petty kleptomania that goes on, stashes of stitch markers that dwindle, a 20-inch #6 circ that was sitting there just a minute ago, where did that go, is it in the couch ... cat! Cat?! Bring it back.
Not so. Tonight, the Fool decided to clean out his backpack and it was all in there. Stitch markers, four (Four!) Addis of various sizes, a bamboo dpn and (mysteriously) a pair of toenail clippers.
So many questions answered....

The four addis were actually recently in use, so I don't think that counts. Two of them were for those "Christmas stockings" that never seem to fit, and the other two were for the forethought heel on the sock I just completed.

I do like keeping the bamboo needle in my bag. You never know when you need a spare US 1.

I see no mystery to the toe clippers. I can't be the only one that uses them to cut the yarn.

Fool, get thee a knitting kit.

He *has* a knitting kit. It's a sort of men's shaving bag from IKEA and it is always, always empty.

I always kind of envied you that you had a husband that knits. I've tried to get mine interested, to no avail. However, now I'm having second thoughts - MY stitches markers, MY needles - co-opted by my husband? I think I'll keep him out in the shop woodworking!

This probably deserves its own blog post, but in many respects, he keeps his paws off my stuff - it's Murphy's Law, though. The one size needle I want/need is always the same one he happens to want/need at the same time.

...which, to add to Meg's post, is usually the result of, "Honey, can you knit the other one of these?"

Ok, that explains where your stuff is going. But where is mine going? Where? My husband isn't taking it, the dog would never dare, and the cats deny all charges. Hmmmmmmmm . . .
