I don't get it

There must be thousands of square feet of flat surface in this house. Thousands.
So Romeo has to find the two square feet I'm using to block knitwear when he wants to take a nap.

They say wool generates heat as it dries; some molecular thing. I'd read that a thousand times and thought "yeah right" because I couldn't see the physics of it.

Then I got a cat.

This cat will ALWAYS find the dripping-wet wool and lay on it. ALWAYS. She's got a heat-seeking bum. No matter where I hide it, I turn around, and pow. There's the cat, huddled on top of something dripping wet, glaring at me, daring me to move her. (She has her claws. She stays.)

Congratulations. You have a cat with a heat-seeking bum.

He thinks he's helping the knitting dry? :)
