It was a little later than we thought, is all. It cooked just fine once I turned the crock pot on. The seasonings were OK - it needed salt - and I think we could make it tastier next time.
I fequently remember to turn on the crock pot without actually plugging it in. You'd think that I'd notice that the little light isn't on but nope I never do.
