Chemo Hat

Knitted at the special request of a friend of mine who was diagnosed with leukemia. Made from Takhi Cotton Classic yarn, 100% mercerized cotton on size 7 dpns.

Olov, our pet harp seal, is a perfect model for the hat.

I'm not bad, either.

Gosh you work fast! The hat looks great by the way and I am sure your friend will be very appreciative of the gift. You've gotta give me some tips on how you knit so fast. I think my problem is that I get distracted very easily. Or maybe that's just an excuse. Anyhow, great work.

Well, the secret is to have a 25-minute commute each way on the train. That and since I learned to knit continental, I really speed through stockinette.

Yeah, I guess the 25 minute commute would really come in handy. Around my neck of the woods I have to drive everywhere I need to go and I don't think it would be wise to Knit and Drive. It would be nice not to have to rely on a car so much with gas prices so high. Anyway, both hats look great, again. I am trying my hand at brioche knitting and it is taking a lot more patience than I have. We'll see how it goes.
